Moving cases between MDT sessions

This procedure requires MDT Group Coordinator privileges.
You can move cases that are in Planned and In review between MDT sessions of the same MDT group.

Cases can be moved from a session that is in either Planned or In review state to another session that is in Planned state.

  1. On the left pane, click MDT to expand the menu item.
  2. Click MDT Sessions.

The MDT session list page is displayed, where each MDT session shows the scheduled meeting time, date and status of the session (Planned, In review, Reviewed, or Finalized) in the upper-right corner.

  3. Click to select the session from which you want to move one or more cases to another session of the same MDT group.

The selected session is highlighted and the session details are shown on the right-hand side.

  4. Select the check box in front of the cases you want to move to another session, or click Select all open to select all open (Planned or In review) cases in the session.

The case state is shown on the right of each case.

If you have already selected one or more closed, non-finalized (Reviewed and/or Finalize failed) cases, you cannot select open cases. In this case, first remove the selection from all closed cases before proceeding.

Check box is not available for cases that are in Finalized state, such cases cannot be selected.

If you want to deselect one or more cases, click the check box again in front of a selected case to deselect it or click the Deselect all open button to clear all open case selections.

For additional information, see Reviewing and editing the MDT session worklist.

The selected cases get highlighted and the (MOVE) button on the right above the case list becomes active.

  5. Click the (MOVE) button.

The Move cases dialog box appears, showing the next session in line after the session you want to move case(s) from.

  6. Select the session you want to move the case(s) to.

The number of cases already attached to a session is shown in black on a gray background on the right of the MDT group name.

If Maximum number of cases per meeting has been set for an MDT group, the number of cases attached to a given session is displayed as follows:

    • If the maximum number has not been reached: in black on a gray background in the <number of cases already attached to the session>/<maximum number of cases allowed> format; that is, for example, 1/5.
    • If the maximum number has been reached or exceeded: in white on a red background in the same format as above; that is, for example, 5/5.

Use the and buttons to navigate through the sessions available for adding the case(s) to. If either button is inactive (appears dimmed), it means that you have reached the earliest or the latest available session.

  7. In the Reason of case movement text field, type the reason(s) for moving the case(s) to another session.

It is mandatory to fill in the Reason of case movement text field.

  8. Click OK to move the case(s) to the selected session (or click Cancel to cancel the action and exit the Move cases dialog box).

Note that if you select Cancel, the selected cases will remain selected. You have to either deselect the cases or select another session in the session list to clear the case selection.

If the move was successful, the application displays the following message:

"Case(s) successfully moved to the <date/time> session of <MDT group>."

However, if you moved the case(s) to an on-demand session, the application displays the following message:

"Case(s) successfully moved to the next on demand session of <MDT group>."

The case(s) will be added as the last one(s) in the target session's case list, with the original order of the cases in the session preserved.

If the move fails, the application displays the error message:

"Case movement failed. Please try again."

In this case, make another attempt to move the case(s) to the required session.

The application will automatically send an email notification to the case submitter about case moves. The application will also send an email notification to the coordinator(s) and members of the affected MDT group if the notification option is activated at Customizable notification settings (see Viewing and editing MDT group details).

However, if the case list of the session from which you want to move case(s) to another session was modified and saved by another MDT group coordinator in the meantime, you cannot move the case(s) and the application displays the following message:

"Your changes cannot be saved because the worklist of the session was changed and saved by another user. Reload the page to view/modify the worklist."

Reload the page to review the case list change(s) of the session.
