Adding a Device
- Click the Configuration menu icon (
) on the left vertical pane.
- Click Org Management.The Organizational Structure page is displayed. The Sites and Departments tab is opened by default.
- Click
to expand the row for the selected site.
- Click the Device Management tab in the left column.The Device Management tab is displayed.
It lists the already added devices next to the left column and displays the details of the first device on the right side.
- Click Add Device button.
The Add Device page is displayed.
- Select the device type. If you selected Local Edge device, select PACS or CPACS subtype.Depending on your selected device type, different fields appear.
- Enter or select information as indicated in the table below:
In this field Enter or select this information Device Name (mandatory) Enter the device name.
Location (mandatory) Enter the location.
Description (mandatory) Enter the description.
PACS / CPACS / MWL / AE Title (Depending on the selected device) Enter the AE title. PACS / CPACS / MWL / Port (Depending on the selected device) Enter the port number. PACS / CPACS / MWL / IP (Depending on the selected device) Enter the IP address. CPACS Report Retrieval Port (Local Edge or CPACS device only) Enter the CPACS Report Retrieval Port number. Note:To ensure your device details are added successfully, do not add colon (:), caret (^)and pipe (|) in any of these fields. If you add any of these unsupported characters, you will get an error message as "Colon(:) , caret (^) and pipe(|) are unsupported characters.
- If you selected Local Edge device, click Add Otherwise proceed with the next step..
- Optionally, if you have GE admin account and selected GE VNA Device, click the Test IP/Port button to test connectivity with GE VNA machine by using device IP address and port number.
If connectivity is successful then the following message is displayed: "IP Address/Port Number test Successful".
If connectivity failed for IP address and port number then the following message is displayed: "IP Address/Port Number test Failed".
If connectivity is successful for IP address and it failed for port number then the following message is displayed: "Port Number test failed".
If the connectivity failed for IP address and it is successful for port number then the following message is displayed: "IP Address test Failed".
- Optionally, if you have GE admin account and selected GE VNA Device, click the Test C-Echo button to check whether the AE Title of the DICOM device is valid or not using device details such as IP Address, Port number and AE Title. It checks whether the device is present in the GE VNA archive or not. If the test is successful then the following message is displayed: "DICOM Echo test Successful". If the test is failed then the following message is displayed: "DICOM Echo test Failed".
- Optionally, if you have GE admin account and selected GE VNA Device and any of the tests (IP, Port, or C-Echo) failed, check that the information filled out in the device form is correct, revise as necessary, and repeat the tests until all tests successfully passed.Note:
You can save the device details without checking the connectivity of the GE VNA device. You will be able to save the device details even if the connectivity check of device is failed.
- Click Save to save the changes.
On successful adding of the device information, the following message is displayed: "Device was added successfully." and the Device Management tab displays the new device.
