Resetting Password with Your Security Answers
If you've forgotten your password or have been locked out of Edison™ Datalogue™ Connect, then do the following to reset your password with your security answers:
- On the Sign In page, click on Forgot your password? link.
The Forgot your password? dialog is displayed.
- Enter your account's registered email address.
- Click Send.
- Select Reset password with your security answers.Note:
This option will ask you to validate your identity with the security answers you previously selected and are stored in our records. You will have 1 hour to complete this process.
- Type the CAPTCHA code.Note:
The CAPTCHA code is displayed only if the organization you are subscribed to has enabled this option.
- Optionally, click
(Reload CAPTCHA) for a new code.
- Click Send.
You should receive an email with a link to reset your password shortly after you send the request.
Note:Add no-reply@edlc.com to your approved sender list to prevent email notifications from Edison Datalogue Connect being accidentally discarded as spam. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam folder. If you still cannot locate the email, contact your Edison Datalogue Connect administrator.
- From the email, click the link to open the Reset Password page.
The page shows the security questions you had selected during account creation.
- Enter the correct security answers in the respective text fields and click Submit.Note:
Three consecutive failed attempts to provide correct security answers will lock you out of the reset password process for 15 minutes. Click the Forgot your password? link on the Sign In page to try again later or contact your site administrator.
The Reset Password page is displayed.
- Enter the new password in the New Password field.
Password should be at least 8 characters long. Use at least one lower case alphabet, one upper case alphabet, one number and one special character except "*".
Note:If you used spaces in the password, the following error message is displayed:
"Password cannot contain spaces. Please correct and try again."
- Re-enter the same password in the Confirm Password field.
- Optionally, select the Show Password check box if you wish to see your password as plain text.
- Click Save.Note:
If you have kept the Reset Password page open for more than a hour, the Reset Password process will expire and the following error message will be displayed:
"The Reset Password link has expired. Please return to the Sign-in screen and click the Reset Password again."
On successful update, the Sign In page opens. The following message is displayed at the top of the screen:
"Your password was reset successfully. Log in to access your account."
You are now able to sign in with your updated credentials.
You will receive an email after the password is successfully reset.
