Add Login Page Design

  1. Sign in to Edison Datalogue Connect application using your GE administrator account.
  2. Click the Configuration menu icon () on the left vertical pane.
  3. Click Org Management.
    The Organizational Structure page is displayed. The Organizations tab is opened by default. It shows the list of organizations with which you are associated. The Organizational Structure page also shows the Sites and Departments tab and the Add Site button.
  4. Select the organization for which you want to add login page design by clicking from the first column.
  5. Click Login Page Design.
    The Login Page Design section is displayed. It shows the Add Login Page Design button in the top-right corner, and the What is Login Page Design? link and the Add Login Page Design link.
  6. Click the Add Login Page Design button or the Add Login Page Design link to customize login page design.
    The Customized Organization Login Screen page is displayed.
  7. Enter or select information as indicated in the table below:

    Upload customize login screen image

    Click Select Image button to select and upload Login screen image (that is, background image for login page).

    Note: The supported image formats are .jpg, .gif, .jpeg, and.png. Image size should not be more than 5 MB. The optimal image resolution size is 1321 x 566.

    Login Screen Image Opacity

    		Move the slider to make image as transparent as you want.
    Note: Select minimum opacity for transparent image and maximum for opaque image.
    For example, to make login screen image transparent by 20%, move the slider to 20%.

    Upload organization logo

    		Click Select Image button to select and upload an Organization's logo.
    Note: The supported image formats are .jpg, .gif, .jpeg, .png. Image size should not be more than 5 MB. The recommended resolution size is 300 x 126.
    Tip: To improve the visual effect of the logo, it is highly recommended to use graphic content with transparent background.
    Organization's Website URL

    Enter an Organization's website URL. Users that click on the customized logo and/or message shall be routed to this website URL. If no URL entered, no customized routing shall be available.

    Note: You cannot customize the default URL of Edison Datalogue Connect.
    Path name to access application

    Enter the path name to access the application.

    Note: Path name should be unique and should not contain spaces and/or special characters.
    Full path preview

    Displays the full path preview as per the entered path name to access the application. Displays preview of the full log-in path based on the system's configuration and the selected path name you entered in the path name to access application. Copy this link and provide to your end-users.

    Note: Path name should be unique and should not contain spaces and/or special characters.
    Select Message Type

    Click the Text check box to enter welcome text message. It displays the text box that allows you to enter text message.

    Click the Image check box to upload image and use it as a welcome message. It displays the Select Image button. Click this button enables you to select image.

    Tip: To improve the visual effect of the message image, it is highly recommended to use graphic content with transparent background.
  8. Click Save.

    The customized login page design for the selected organization is saved and it is shown in the Login Page Design section.

    Tip:

    Hover over the displayed Login screen image, logo and message images to view them in full resolution size. Click the copyToClipboard button to copy application URL.
