Creating a Site

  1. Click the Configuration menu icon () on the left vertical pane.
  2. Click Org Management.
    The Organizational Structure page is displayed. The Sites and Departments tab is opened by default.
  3. Click the Add Site button. The Create a Site page opens.
    Note:

    All mandatory data entry fields have an asterisk (*) next to the label.

  4. In Site Information section, enter or select information as indicated in the table below:

    Organization (mandatory)

    Select your organization.

    Note:

    If there is only one organization, then that organization name is populated in this field.

    Legal Name (mandatory)

    Enter the registered legal name of the site.
    Note:

    Site name should be unique.

    It is recommended to avoid the HTML Entity Names such as, &, ", , > and so on, in the Site Name. If you use any of these HTML Entity Names in the Site Name, then in the notification e-mail they are not displayed as they appear on the application screen.

    For example, when you add site name as Washington & New York Site, it is displayed in notification email as Washington & New York Site.

    For complete list of HTML Entity Names to avoid in Site Name, refer Characters List from Appendix section.

    Nickname (optional)Enter the common name used to identify your site. For example, West Trauma Campus.

    Description (mandatory)

    Enter a brief description for your site.

    Address Line 1 (mandatory)

    Enter the street address information in the address line text fields.

    Address Line 2 (optional)

    Enter additional address details.

    Country (mandatory)

    Select the country from the drop-down list.

    Note:

    Currently, you can register a new Healthcare Provider / Other Provider from the countries listed in the drop-down list.

    City (mandatory)

    Select the country from the drop-down list.

    State/Province (mandatory)

     

    ZIP/Postal Code (mandatory)

    Enter the zip code or the postal code.

    Note:

    The format for this field changes as per the selected country.

    For example, if you select Japan in the Country drop-down then the format changes as per the Japan Zip code format i.e. XXX-XXXX.

    Tip:

    For Canada, France, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Germany, Martinique and United States, the Zip/Postal code format provided is 5 characters (all numbers). For Japan, the Zip/Postal code format provided is 7 characters. In the Zip/Postal code of Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Singapore, South Korea, South Africa, Tanzania and United Kingdom, alphabets characters are allowed.

    Phone Number (mandatory)

    Enter the phone number.

    Ext. (optional)

    Enter the extension of your phone number, if applicable.

    Designate Admin for your site (mandatory)

    This section displays your email address, and designates you as the default primary site administrator. Enter the name or email to add a co-administrator. You may select the Primary Admin option for that person to make them the primary site administrator.

    Enabled Application(s)

    This field displays the enabled applications for the site. This field cannot be modified.

  5. Click Next. The Site Settings section opens.
  6. Enter or select information as indicated in the table below:

    Automatically forward incoming cases to Site Admin?

    Select Yes if you wish to route cases created and shared within the network to the site administrator

    Member Enrollment

    Select Admin Invitation only to allow users join the site by invitation only.

    Otherwise, select Users can request to join if users can request access to join.

    Directory Visibility

    Check Display site in the public directory, to show the site directory to all Edison Datalogue Connect users. When unchecked (default), the directory is visible to users affiliated to the site only.

  7. Click Create Site.
