Finalizing MDT cases in a session

This procedure requires MDT Group Coordinator privileges.
  1. On the left pane, click MDT to expand the menu item.
  2. Click MDT Sessions.

    The MDT session list page is displayed, where each MDT session shows the scheduled meeting time, date and status of the session (Planned, In review, Reviewed, or Finalized) in the upper-right corner.

  3. Click to select the session in which you want to finalize cases.

    Cases in Planned and Finalized state sessions cannot be finalized.

    The selected session is highlighted and the session details are shown on the right-hand side.

  4. Select and finalize the cases as needed.

    You can finalize only closed, non-finalized (Reviewed and Finalize failed) cases.

    The case state is shown on the right of each case.

    There are two ways to finalize cases. These are as follows:

    • Finalizing cases individually.

      Click the (FINALIZE) button on the right of the case you want to finalize.

      The temporary Finalizing state is shown for the case while it is being processed, then, if the finalization is completed successfully, the case state changes to Finalized and the (FINALIZE) button disappears.

      Also, if the Generic MDT Outcome Report option has been selected for the MDT group, the (REPORT) button becomes active.

      If the finalization fails for any reason, the state changes to Finalize failed. You can try and finalize such cases again.

      Repeat the above procedure for every case you want to finalize.

      Select the check box in front of the cases you want to finalize, or click Select all reviewed to select all closed, non-finalized (Reviewed and Finalize failed) cases in the session.

      If you have already selected one or more open (Planned and/or In review) cases, you cannot select closed cases. In this case, first remove the selection from all open cases before proceeding.

      Check box is not available for cases that are in Finalized state, such cases cannot be selected.

      If you want to deselect one or more cases, click the check box again in front of a selected case to deselect it or click the Deselect all reviewed button to clear all closed case selections.

      The selected cases get highlighted and the Finalize button on the right above the case list becomes active.

      Click Finalize button to finalize the selected cases.

      Note: If you have selected at least one case using the check box, the (FINALIZE) button becomes inactive for all closed cases, and you can finalize cases using the Finalize button only.

      The temporary Finalizing state is shown for the cases while they are being processed, then, if the finalization is completed successfully, the case state changes to Finalized and the (FINALIZE) button disappears.

      Also, if the Generic MDT Outcome Report option has been selected for the MDT group, the (REPORT) button becomes active.

    Once all cases have been finalized successfully, the session status changes to Finalized.

  5. Click the (REPORT) button to open the case report in PDF format.
  6. Click the X in the upper-right corner of the document viewer to close it and return to the session.
