Downloading a Case

The Download Case functionality enables you to download a study in the case to a local drive.

To download a case, follow the steps listed below.

  1. Click the Patient Access menu icon () on the left vertical pane.
  2. Click Recent Studies.
  3. Select a case to open.

    The selected case is highlighted and the case details are shown on the right hand side.

  4. Click .

    The Alert pop-up is displayed which shows the following alert message:

    "The data you requested has been queued for retrieval. You will receive an email when it is available and ready for download."

  5. Click OK.
    Note:

    Clicking Cancel cancels the operation and closes the Alert pop-up and you return to Resources tab.

    The Alert pop-up closes and you are back to Resources tab.

  6. After you receive an email stating that your study is available for download, log in to the system, navigate to the requested case and then click again.

    The zip file of the study in the case is downloaded to a local drive.

    When the full case is downloaded, the Case Summary is updated and the following message is displayed, along with the date and time of download:

    "All Studies and Documents were downloaded."

    Note:

    When user initiates download of study and/or document attachments from a case, time stamped event is added to the case summary indicating that a named user has downloaded studies and/or documents. Since the download function is an action entirely controlled by the user’s browser, Edison Datalogue Connect cannot validate if the download operation completed successfully, failed or interrupted. Therefore, the event statement should not be interpreted that the attachments were successfully downloaded

    Note:

    The study is available for download for the specified time duration mentioned in the email. If you try to download the study after the specified time duration, your study will not be available for download and you will need to repeat steps from 2 to 4.

    If a user downloads a case multiple times, there will be multiple log entries in the Case Summary.

    Note:

    When a user downloads case to local computer, only reports that are in DICOM SR format will be downloaded. Other report formats cannot be attached or downloaded with the case.
