View DICOM Attachments

You can view the DICOM attachments in the Zero Footprint client (ZFP DICOM Viewer). The ZFP DICOM Viewer provides easy access to DICOM images in a case without having to download and install special tools for your device.

Note:

The ZFP DICOM Viewer is used for non-diagnostic reviews only.

To open the ZFP DICOM Viewer, follow the steps listed below.

  1. Click the Patient Access menu icon () on the left vertical pane.
  2. Click Recent Studies.
  3. Select a case from the case list.

The Resources tab is open by default.

  4. In the Studies section, click a DICOM study to open it in the ZFP DICOM Viewer.

Use the ZFP DICOM Viewer to perform certain tasks on the selected study.

    Note:

If any case is created from third party archive (CPACS as TPA, TPA, orthanc), then on clicking the DICOM study, the following message is displayed indicating that the transition of the case is taking place from TPA to intermediate archive:

"Study retrieval in progress, it may take few minutes to complete. Please try viewing the study again in few minutes."

    Note:

If an error occurs during the transition of case from TPA to Intermediate archive, the following message is displayed when the user clicks on the DICOM study:

"Study retrieval failed, please retry viewing the study again in few minutes. If the failure repeat contact your Site Administrator for assistance."

    Note:

Users may notice a difference in the age displayed in the case’ header and the age displayed inside the ZFP DICOM Viewer.

This is because the ZFP DICOM Viewer shows the patient’s age as entered during study creation, whereas Edison Datalogue Connect Patient Access calculates the patient’s age as per the date of birth.

  5. Optionally, click Help to open the operator's manual for details on using the ZFP DICOM Viewer.
  6. Click on the right corner of the screen to close the ZFP DICOM Viewer.

You will return to the Recent Studies list.
