Viewing non-DICOM attachments

This procedure requires MDT Group Member or Coordinator privileges.
You can access the non-DICOM attachments from the case list. With the Snowbound Document Viewer, you can easily view the non-DICOM attachments in a case without having to download and install additional tools on your device.
Note: The Snowbound Document Viewer may be used for non-diagnostic reviews only. It supports the following file formats: PDF; TXT; DOC; DOCX; PPT; PPTX; BMP; JPEG; TIFF
  1. On the left pane, click MDT to expand the menu item.
  2. Click My MDT.

    The case list appears.

    Note: Only in progress (non-finalized) cases are listed under My MDT.

    Processed/finalized MDT cases are available under the Case Exchange > All Cases menu item.

  3. Click a case to select it.

    The selected case is highlighted and the case details are shown on the right-hand side.

  4. Click the non-DICOM attachment of your interest in the Case Summary section.

    Alternatively, you can open the non-DICOM attachment from the Documents section of the Resources tab on the right of the Case Summary section.

    The non-DICOM attachment opens in the document viewer. The patient's name, Sex, Age, date of birth (DOB), and document name are displayed in patient header.

    The document viewer provides the following functions:

    (Zoom In)

    Use this function to enlarge a part or the whole of selected object. Zooming in automatically activates the pan tool. To zoom in:
    1. Click the display area to activate the zoom.
    2. Click multiple times until the required size is reached. The mouse pointer changes to a hand.
    3. Click and hold the mouse button to grab the zoomed in display and move it around.
    4. Release the mouse button to display the area under scrutiny.

    (Zoom Out)

    Use this function to display the selected area on a larger scale.

    The pan tool remains active while a portion of the object is zoomed in. Zoom out and pan are disabled once the object fits the display area completely.

    (Rubberband Zoom)

    Use this function to zoom in by windowing.

    (Go to Last Page)

    Use these buttons to navigate through an attached document.

    The total number of pages for each document is also displayed. You can toggle through documents by using the thumbnails displayed on the right-hand side.

    Use these options to rotate the file (if applicable).
  5. Click the X in the upper-right corner to close the file and return to the case details.
