Viewing MDT case details
- On the left pane, click MDT to expand the menu item.
- Click My MDT.
The case list appears.
Note: Only in progress (non-finalized) cases are listed under My MDT.Processed/finalized MDT cases are available under the Case Exchange > All Cases menu item.
- Click a case to select it.
You can search for specific cases by typing the search criteria (patient name or case subject) in the search field and then press Enter on the keyboard or click the
(search) button next to search field.
You can also filter the cases by sessions. Click the filter
(filter) button and then select All MDT sessions (default) or an MDT session from the list that is displayed.
The selected case is highlighted and the case details are shown on the right-hand side.
The case details are as follows:
- Session schedule details (MDT group, date, time and site information).
- Patient details are displayed in a blue banner, showing (if available):
- Patient name.
- Patient ID.
- Gender.
- Date of birth (DOB).
- Age (calculated from the date of birth).
Tip: If the patient name exceeds the maximum length, it is truncated with ellipses. Hover the mouse over the patient name to view the full information. - Name of the billing organization.
- The Case Summary section is displayed below the patient banner. This section shows the case creation and case sharing history with latest activity at the top.
When the case has many transactions, a scroll bar is available to view and access all transactions.
- Each transaction shows the sender, recipient(s) (to), transaction date and time in the header section, the clinical reason, message, images, and documents, as well as thumbnails for each attachment (both DICOM and non-DICOM, with the name and date).
- Optionally, each group member can add information about the case before the MDT session using the Preliminary opinion text field.
- Type the information in the Preliminary opinion text field.
- Select the check box at I acknowledge that the preliminary opinion cannot be edited once saved and may be included in the MDT outcome report for this patient.
If you do not select the check box, the Save button (see next step) remains inactive (appears dimmed).
- Click Save to add the information to the case.
If saving the information fails for any reason, the application displays the following message:
"Unable to save preliminary opinion, please try again!"
Click Save again to save the preliminary opinion.
Group members can add their preliminary opinion only once. After you have saved the preliminary opinion, no additional information can be added to the case.
Also, if Generic MDT Outcome Report has been selected for the MDT group at Report template, unwanted/irrelevant preliminary opinions can be removed by MDT group coordinators when the session is in presentation mode.

Resources
The following items are available on the Resources tab:
- The + ADD TO CASE button to add attachment(s) to the case.
For detailed instructions, see Adding attachments to an MDT case.
- The Studies section, listing the DICOM attachments of the case.
- The Documents section, listing the non-DICOM attachments of the case.
- The Templates section, listing the templates attached to the case.
The above sections appear only if there is at least one matching item attached to the case.
Clicking on the arrow on the right of each attachment enables you to
- go to the message with the corresponding attachment in the Case Summary section,
- open the attachment,
- download the attachment (non-DICOM and template attachments only).
Activities
For each attachment, the Activities tab displays the date when the attachment was added to the case.
