You can view the DICOM attachments in the DICOM Viewer. It provides easy access to DICOM images in a case without having to download and install special tools to your device.
Note:
The DICOM Viewer is used for non-diagnostic reviews only.
To view DICOM attachments, follow the steps listed below.
- Click the Case Exchange icon (
) on the left vertical pane. - Click All Cases.
The list of shared and received cases is displayed.
- From the case list, select the case that contains the DICOM attachment.
The selected case is highlighted and the case details are shown on the right-hand side.
- In the Case Summary section, click the DICOM study.
Tip:
You can also view the DICOM study by clicking on the study on the Resources tab.
The DICOM attachment opens in the DICOM Viewer.
It shows the patient header on the top which displays the patient name, Patient ID, accession number (ACC), date of birth (DOB), Age, acquisition date and time, and modality (as applicable).
The DICOM Viewer provides tools for setting up and/or manipulating the images (e.g., zooming in/out, panning, layout and display mode selection, annotation tools).
- Click the Back button to exit the DICOM Viewer and return to the case details page.
