Normalizing Patient Information - Reconciliation with RIS
This feature enables you to reconcile the patient study information (modality worklist) from the cloud with the patient study information in the Radiology Information System (RIS). After the patient information is normalized, you can download it to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
To reconcile patient information with RIS, follow the steps listed below.
- Click the Case Exchange icon (
) on the left vertical pane.
- Click All Cases.
The list of shared and received cases is displayed.
- Select a case to open.
- From the Resources tab on the right-hand side of the screen, click the Save to DICOM Device (
) icon.
Note:The Save to DICOM Device option for Clinician/Admin Users is enabled only when the DICOM attachment in the case has successful upload status. If the DICOM study attachment has status In Progress or Upload Failed status, the Save to DICOM Device option is disabled.
- Under Studies, , select the required study by clicking on the check box next to the study name.Note:
Only 10 studies can be selected to reconcile with the MWL query worklist at a time.
- Select the Reconcile with RIS download method.
The Step 2: Select Source page opens.
- From the Select MWL Query Source (RIS) section, select the MWL query source.
The Select PACS Device section is displayed.
- From the Select PACS Device section, select the download location by selecting the required PACS device.
The Select Worklist Date section is displayed.
- From the Select Worklist Date section, select the worklist date range.Note:
The default selection is Today.
You can select Last 7 Days or Last 30 Days and the date range for the selection made is displayed above.
You can also select Custom Date Range (6 months max) and then click the calendar icon (
) to select the required starting date of the custom date range.
- Click Next.
The Step 3: Select Patient Match page opens, showing the list of patients matching the selected patient from the cloud. The matching patients are displayed based on:

Patient information.
Name (first name and last name), date of birth, and gender.

Selected time range.
- RIS ID (selected device ID).

- Select the matching patient on RIS.
If no worklist is found for the patient on RIS, the following message is displayed:
"No worklist found for patient: <Patient name>"
Note:You can also reconcile patient data by entering the first name and last name to search for a patient and then clicking the Lookup button.
If the patient's details exist on RIS, the results will be displayed on the right-hand side in Patient Match on RIS.
Select the matching patient on RIS and click Continue.
- Click Next.
The Step 4: Reconcile Studies page opens.
It shows a list of studies for the selected patient from RIS. The Select Matches From section shows the Study List (Cloud) option selected by default.
If you want to select the Worklist (RIS) first, select the matching study from the cloud, then select the Worklist (RIS) option.
- Select matching worklist entry to reconcile.
If there are more than one studies to reconcile, select a matching worklist entry for every study from the cloud.
- Click Next.
The Step 5: Review & Download page opens.
It shows the reconciled studies and their details.
Note:When the information is available for the study for the patient ID, gender and date of birth, these fields are not editable; however, if this information is absent from the cloud as well as from the worklist, these fields are editable and you can update the information.
You can edit the study details by clicking the Edit button. You can only edit the Accession No. and the Required Procedure Description fields. Click the Save button when you finished editing the information.
You can also remove the study by clicking the Remove button. As you click the Remove button, the Remove Study pop-up window is displayed. Click the Continue button to proceed with deletion of study.
- Click Save.Note:
If you have removed all studies and click the Save button, the following message is displayed:
"No studies are available for download"
Note:If any patient demographic details are missing and you click the Save button, the Edit Patient Banner screen opens and you have to add the mandatory details to proceed with download.
The selected studies are reconciled and downloaded in the selected PACS and the following messages are displayed:
"<Number of studies> studies have been reconciled"
"Download is in progress"
Note:When you download only one study, the following message is displayed:
"1 study has been reconciled"
If a technical issue occurs, the following message is displayed:
"An error has occurred. Please try again"
