Unlocking a Case

Note:

If you are a self registered user with no access to site, you will not be able to unlock a case. The Unlock button is disabled and when you point the cursor to the button, the following tooltip is displayed:

"You do not have the permission to Unlock. If you think you should have the permission, contact your Site Admin."

Note:

Only the user who has locked the case can unlock it before the default lock duration. The case is automatically unlocked after 30 minutes.

To unlock a case, follow the steps listed below.

  1. Click the Case Exchange icon () on the left vertical pane.
  2. Click All Cases.

    The list of shared and received cases is displayed.

  3. Select the case that you want to unlock.

    The selected case is highlighted and the case details are shown on the right-hand side.

  4. Click Unlock.

    The case is unlocked and the following message is displayed:

    "The case has been successfully unlocked by you."

    For other case participants:

    • The Case Summary is updated with an unlocking message entry:

      "The case was unlocked by <name of user> at <date and time of unlocking>."

    • The Reply, Share, Lock, Archive, Send to MDT, Save to DICOM Device, and Download All Resources are enabled.
